John Hurd, the town’s new Recycling Coordinator, presented the 2025 Solid Waste Implementation Plan to the Selectboard on Sept. 8. Hurd said the plan follows the State-provided format, that a public hearing drew no attendees, and that his predecessor had drafted the plan; the board adopted the plan and will forward it to the State for approval covering the next four years.
Adopting the plan formalizes the coordinator’s role and the town’s approach to solid waste implementation for the coming period; Hurd indicated he has no substantive concerns with the draft submitted for board approval.
