Selectboard holds FONSI hearing for South Londonderry wastewater project; no public comments

The Londonderry Selectboard held a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) hearing at 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 8 to satisfy federal and state environmental review requirements for the South Londonderry Village Community Wastewater Project. Chrissy Haskins of Dufresne Group presented the environmental review results, reporting no significant impacts for environmental justice, land use or air quality and noting that any wetlands work would be confined to road prisms.
Haskins told the board the project “might affect four protected animal species,” and that tree cutting would be restricted to November through February; she also reported two underground storage tank hazardous sites in or adjacent to the project area and said soil testing will be conducted. There were no public comments during the hearing, and the board adjourned the FONSI hearing at 6:09 p.m.
