Park Rapids city leaders moved on several personnel items Aug. 12 related to the city clerk position. City Administrator Angel Weasner told council a review showed duties added in the 2022 reconfiguration were not being completed and recommended restoring the job description to its pre-2022 form. Council approved Resolution #2025-131 to revoke the 2022 job description.
Council then approved Resolution #2025-132 to revert the city clerk pay scale to its pre-2022 structure while keeping previously approved increases in place. The personnel committee recommended appointing Sarah Gwiazdon as Interim City Clerk to satisfy city code requiring a staff appointment; council approved Resolution #2025-133 (motion by Tim Little; second by Joe Christensen). Weasner thanked outgoing City Clerk Berit Score for her years of service during administrator remarks.
