Franklin Board places employee on paid administrative leave, accepts several resignations

The Franklin Borough Board of Education on June 15 approved paid administrative leave for employee #8229 effective May 27 through June 17, 2026 and accepted resignations including Michelle Maher (part-time paraprofessional, last day June 12, 2026) and Tyler Bauer (part-time paraprofessional, last day July 30, 2026). The actions were adopted as part of the personnel consent motions recommended by Superintendent John R. Giacchi.
Board members also approved a set of unpaid leave requests for several employees pending a memorandum of agreement with the Franklin Education Association. In addition, the board rescinded certain previously listed ESY appointments and amended ESY pay rates to add a $2.00/hour differential for staff providing higher-level care, changing the effective hourly compensation for affected paraprofessionals from $20.26 to $22.26 for those assignments.
