The Park Rapids City Council unanimously approved Resolution 2025-135 on Aug. 26, 2025, adopting rental rehabilitation policies and a procedural guide for the Small Cities Development Program. City Administrator Angel Weasner told the council this item had been tabled two weeks earlier and that staff provided rules and guidelines for the rental portion of the program; commercial program rules had previously been approved.
Weasner said the program is moving forward and that the city "is going to have some reimbursements and payment requests coming in soon." The resolution covers program procedures for rental-property rehabilitation under the Small Cities program and provides staff authority to administer reimbursements and process requests consistent with the adopted guide. The motion to adopt came from Tim Little, was seconded by Liz Stone, and passed unanimously.
