Council clears CommonSpirit Health refinancing; hospital representative thanks city

The City Council unanimously adopted Resolution #2025-144 on Sept. 9 to permit CommonSpirit Health to refinance outstanding debt via a revenue bond issued by the Colorado Health Facilities Authority. Administrator Angel Weasner said the city’s bond counsel reviewed the resolution for compliance with Minnesota law and that the financing’s primary purpose is refinancing with possible small capital purchases.
Jessica Zaiger, the CommonSpirit representative participating by Zoom, said, "No, thank you. We just appreciate the city’s help with this once again and look forward to a successful refinancing." The council closed the related public hearing with no public comment and adopted the resolution by unanimous vote (mover: Liz Stone; second: Tim Little).
