Board approves Bowman proposal to replace Pelican Sound monuments and signage

Eric Long presented the Bowman Consulting Group proposal for a Pelican Sound Master Signage Program that would replace monuments throughout the district. He said neighborhood monument replacement design and permitting costs are budgeted under Pelican Sound replacement reserves and that some monuments are foam and some stone, with several slated for relocation.
District Engineer Charlie Krebs noted specific placement changes, and staff said the Southern Hills monument placement will need to be adjusted. On a motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Schultz, the Board approved the Bowman proposal. Mr. Long said the firm’s renderings and 3‑D visual aids will be shared with neighborhoods when appropriate.
