The Board approved an amended Early Childhood Center tuition schedule (Item 26-76) after committee consideration and parent input. The motion by JB Meeuwenberg, seconded by Kris Cole, passed unanimously. For the 2026–2027 school year the approved baseline daily rates are $45.00 for preschool-aged students and $55.00 for infants and toddlers; earlier April 20 action had set higher interim rates that were revised following parent stakeholder discussions.
The minutes state baseline rates for 2027–2028 will be $55 (preschool) and $65 (infant/toddler), and for 2028–2029 $60/$70 respectively. The Board noted revenues and expenditures for the ECC will be reviewed through the budget amendment process. During public remarks Amber Vanderwagen asked when the increase would take effect; the Board clarified the change would not apply until the end of August when transitioning students start school.
