Council member Shane Dillabough submitted a letter of resignation that the council accepted on July 7. Council member Jeff Arends moved to accept Dillabough’s resignation effective as soon as possible; Council member Lance Crowe seconded and the motion passed.
At the same meeting the council identified interim assignments for duties previously handled by a former council member and clarified short-term coverage: Jeff Arends will serve as second signer on checks and represent the city on the Fire Board, and Lance Crowe will assume parks responsibilities. The council did not discuss a timetable or process for formally filling the vacant council seat during the meeting.
