The general cooperation meeting between the United Nations and the League of Arab States opened at the UN office in Geneva, co-chaired by Khaled Manslawi (League of Arab States) and Khaled Kiari (UN), spokesperson Farhan said.
Farhan quoted Kiari's opening comment that cooperation and joint action "are force multipliers that enable both the United Nations and the League of Arab States to have a far greater impact than either organization could have alone for the benefit of the people they serve," and said high-level representatives from around 40 UN and LAS agencies, funds and programs are participating.
