Staff previews 2026 bond-package review process; recreation survey drew 3,500 responses

City staff provided an update on the 2026 obligation bond package and said they will present options to council in June following meetings with Tulsa County library representatives and other user groups. "We have tentative dates for the review of the bond program meetings... in the middle part of June," staff said, and noted user-group presentations and public forums will follow.
Staff also reported that the recreation survey closed with just over 3,500 responses — the second-highest response rate the city has seen — and that results will be tabulated and shared with the council to help prioritize bond requests. Officials said there are more project requests than available funds and further vetting will determine final recommendations to present to voters if the bond goes forward.
