Council approves Oakmont Hills plat and adopts several easement-closure ordinances

Rocky Hinkle, Community Development Director, presented the Oakmont Hills conditional final plat for property at Florence and Lynn Lane: the development covers about 28 acres with 85 proposed lots and was rezoned in December 2022. "This development consists of approximately 28 acres and 85 proposed lots," Hinkle told the council, and staff noted unanimous planning commission approval on Feb. 27, 2025.
Council moved and seconded approval of the plat, and later considered and adopted a series of ordinances closing water-line easements (ordinance numbers discussed in the meeting included 38 52, 38 53 and 38 54). Staff recommended adoption and, where appropriate, approval of emergency clauses. The council recorded motions and roll calls for those measures during the meeting.
