City gives timeline for 2026 bond package and public outreach

City staff gave council a progress report on the 2026 general obligation bond package and related community outreach. Staff said user groups are refining requests, that a sequence of four informational letters will go out via utility bills and that public forums are planned (one in June for user groups and public forums around Labor Day). The city asked council to expect a draft in coming weeks.
"There were 88 projects in the 2018 bond package, and 75% of those projects have either been completed or in the process of construction," staff said. The presentation included a parks survey expected back in about a week to 10 days and a planned discussion about a potential partnership with the Tulsa City-County Library for a south Broken Arrow library. Staff said final project selection work will intensify in June and July.
