"My name is David Hurd. I've been with the city of Broken Arrow for 9 years... I just wanted to get the flag off the ground," Hurd said, describing that he stopped his street sweeper, retrieved the flag, and placed it on the homeowner’s front step. City leaders thanked Hurd and noted that small acts of public service build civic trust. The city presented Hurd with the certificate and a challenge coin, and councilors expressed appreciation for employees who act responsibly in the community.
