Residents ask Select Board to post agenda packets publicly before meetings

Several residents asked that the Select Board post fuller meeting packets in advance so the public can review supporting documents before meetings. One resident said having the packet available earlier would help the public follow budget items and other proposals; the board discussed whether redacting sensitive material would require preparing two packets and whether that would add staff burden.

Board members proposed posting a public packet (with sensitive items redacted or provided separately by email) and asked the town administrator to work with staff to produce a practical schedule for posting agenda materials. "The ideal schedule would be, like, the agenda would come out, like, Wednesday or so, and then the agenda packet would come out maybe Friday or earlier," one member said. The board agreed to have the town administrator and staff report back on a feasible approach.
