The same speaker noted Indiana Landmarks and the Old Speedway Neighborhood Association will offer historic walking tours the week before the celebration and encouraged residents to attend. Economic Director Kyle Markley added that staff will be at Meadowood on July 30 to gather input and that a Formula Drift-related display will bring cars to Main Street that weekend.
The commission encouraged community participation and said it will post details on Indiana Landmarks's site and other local channels. No formal votes were associated with the event announcements during the meeting.
