On April 6 the Lead City Commission set public hearings for April 20, 2026 at 5:30 PM to consider a lease of city property in the Manuel Brother’s parking lot to Hannah Jones for a coffee hut and to consider a wine-license application for Dakota Shivers. Both hearings were scheduled by carried motions recorded in the minutes.
The commission also carried a motion to approve the City’s 2025 Annual Report and reviewed municipal-election dates: the municipal election is scheduled for June 2, 2026; a candidates forum was listed for April 7, 2026; and early voting opens April 17, 2026 at the Lawrence County Auditor’s Office. The minutes do not include details of the lease or the wine-license application; both will be the subject of the April 20 public hearings.
