City outlines $400 million bond package and public engagement plan ahead of voter review

The administration said the city will run a multi-meeting review process in June and hold public hearings around Labor Day ahead of any election.
The administration also said the package is likely to include propositions for transportation, public safety, city facilities, parks and possibly a library proposition, and that staff will conduct public education because municipal budgets in Oklahoma rely heavily on sales tax. Council members encouraged outreach to neighborhoods, homeowner associations and partner organizations to improve voter understanding of what the bonds would fund.
