Geary County approves CVB master agreement with Datify pending contract review

The Geary County Board of Commissioners voted to allow the Convention & Visitors Bureau to sign a new master agreement with the Data/visitor-platform Datify, pending review of the vendor contract by county counsel. Rose, speaking for the bureau, said the software will eliminate repeated signature requests by allowing a single master signature for recurring updates.
“This allows them to just let's have it signed once, and then they don't have to keep resending it over and over again and get approvals for signing,” Rose said when explaining the operational benefit. Commissioners asked that the county counselor review the incoming contract copy before the county executes anything; Rose said she has requested the contract from Datify but does not yet know the cost.
Commissioner Keith Asher moved to approve signing the master agreement contingent on counsel review; Commissioner Kathy Tremont seconded the motion and the board voted in favor. The motion record shows the board carried the item. The packet and contract details, including the platform’s recurring fees and any data-sharing terms, were left as pending items for counsel review and for the CVB to supply the vendor contract for final verification.
Next steps: county counsel will examine the Datify agreement and report back; the board did not set a dollar amount and told staff to return with the contract language before final execution.
