Council approves July rental of Union Point ballfields after deposit and contract conditions

The Union Point City Council voted June 9 to allow Mandrell Terrell to rent the city ballfields for an advertised July event once he completes the rental agreement and submits a $100 rental fee plus a $100 deposit. Council Member Teneisha Pinkney made the motion; Council Member Mary Mundy seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Terrell told the council he will provide security and restroom facilities for the event and will complete the contract for facility use. The council placed no additional conditions in the meeting record; the clerk will process the rental agreement and fees before the event takes place.
