The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners approved a seven-item consent agenda that included final acceptance of public rights of way and drainage structures in Magnolia Reserve and Amberwoods subdivisions, authorization to submit a $100,000 federal grant application through the Georgia Emergency Management Agency/Department of Homeland Security, a $3,259.50 ACCG Civic Affairs Foundation grant acceptance for a summer intern, a one-time waiver of the alcohol license residency requirement for a convenience-store gas station at 504 Arnold Mill Road, surplus of obsolete fire IT equipment, and an amendment to a Luminaire administrative fee arrangement.
Earlier in the meeting the board reappointed Dr. Michael Littrell and Kathy Day to the Board of Health with terms through Dec. 31, 2030 and the chair appointed Cindy Costello to fill an unexpired term on the Board of Health through Dec. 31, 2026; Commissioner Carter also announced an individual appointment of Kevin Moore to the Records Service Advisory and Appeals Board.
The consent agenda and appointments were approved unanimously. Staff noted no unusual fiscal impacts beyond the items recorded on the agenda.
