Commissioners approve additional buffer reductions for Wade Green Storage appeal

Doug Stevenson of Boardwalk Storage told the board the revised design does not increase total square footage but reconfigures the buildings into two single‑story structures with basements rather than a two‑story building, improves circulation and EMS access, and retains a 35‑foot buffer adjacent to residential properties. Commissioner Ragsdale said the applicant had worked with staff and moved to approve the appeal and adopt the October 2024 site plan; Commissioner Carter seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The board’s approval authorizes the additional buffer reductions shown in the October 2024 plan and directs staff to implement the approved site plan through the county’s permitting and plan‑review process.
