Darrell Sinagra was elected president of the T.P. Rural Fire Protection District No. 2 for 2026 after nominations at the board's Jan. 26 meeting in Amite. Commissioner Joseph Havis nominated Sinagra for president, seconded by Louis Joseph; nominations were closed and, by roll-call acclamation, Sinagra was declared president for 2026.
Sinagra then nominated Louis Joseph for vice president (seconded by Buddy Ridgel); by acclamation the board elected Louis Joseph as vice president. Lionell Wells nominated Jill DeSouge for secretary (seconded by Louis Joseph), and the board approved Jill DeSouge as secretary. The roll-call attendance recorded nine members present and one absent (David Vial) for the votes.
