ECAHF committee sets selection timeline for July Summer Engineering Camp

The Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation Development Committee reviewed the status of its Summer Engineering Camp for students, scheduled for July 20–24, 2026. Pam Holder, staff, said "applications continue to be received daily" and that applicants from previous years who were not accepted may receive priority consideration.
Holder told the committee the Selection Committee is scheduled to meet on April 28, 2026, and applicant notifications will be sent via email on May 18, 2026. She also reported that WCTI filmed former campers participating in STEM activities and conducted interviews with Karen Swanner, Tom Braaten and Mary Beth Fennell; the story is expected to air in conjunction with the Artemis II launch. The committee did not identify a final participant count during the meeting. The committee will reconvene on logistical details after the April 28 selection meeting.
