SARS Captain Grant Rounds reported ongoing staffing challenges: two open full‑time EMT and three open full‑time paramedic positions. He said one PLS provider recently obtained paramedic certification and is in an in‑house internship that should lead to one full‑time medic hire; four PLS providers are onboarding and four career members are enrolled in a paramedic program at West Chester University with anticipated graduation in two months. Captain Rounds said summer EMT class participation includes four volunteer members from Upper Moreland Fire Department. The Committee did not take formal staffing or funding actions at the meeting.
