ECAHF board recommends reappointments, names two new nominees to Havelock commissioners

Chairman Tom Braaten opened the Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation (ECAHF) meeting on June 12, 2026, and the Board moved on several governance items, including board-member recommendations to the Havelock Board of Commissioners.
Mary Beth Fennell moved that the ECAHF recommend Adam Persky for reappointment and appoint Jim Belmont and Nathan Roland to the remaining board positions; the motion carried without discussion. The board also confirmed previous selections of Tom Braaten as Chair and Mary Beth Fennell as Vice Chair. The motion records do not include a roll-call vote; minutes state all motions carried unanimously.
Separately, Jimmie Green moved to schedule the Foundation’s Fall Partnership Event for Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026; that motion also passed. Board members were asked to prepare ideas for the 2027 gala topic at the next meeting, and David Rose reiterated a long-term goal of securing astronaut Christina Koch as a potential future speaker.
The Board adjourned at 9:40 a.m.; its next meeting is scheduled for July 10, 2026 at 8:30 a.m.
