The Jackson Select Board voted July 14 to launch a two-year combined transfer-station and falls-access sticker program beginning Jan. 1, 2027. The board said the decal will be issued at no cost to property owners and taxpayers and will include the vehicle’s license plate number tied to registration.
Barbara Campbell moved to authorize the program and to allow staff to finalize implementation details; Frank DiFruscio seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Town staff were directed to determine whether one or two physical stickers will be used and to develop the application process in the fourth quarter ahead of rollout on the first of the year.
The board’s approval was framed as an administrative modernization intended to simplify access control for town-managed facilities; no change in fees was authorized. Further operational and enforcement details, including issuance procedures and any vehicle documentation required, will be provided by staff before the program’s start date.
