City announces Winterfest schedule and Police Cops & Cocoa event

City Administrator Robin Lucero announced Winterfest events and promoted the new event website, and the Lead Police Department is hosting a Cops & Cocoa event on Feb. 21, 2026 from Noon to 1:30 PM at City Hall & Main Street Garage.
Robin Lucero, City Administrator, updated the commission on Winterfest and encouraged residents to "please visit https://www.leadmethere.org/winterfest/ and check it out!!" She also announced the City of Lead Police Department will host its first Cops & Cocoa (and hotdogs) event Saturday, Feb. 21 from Noon to 1:30 PM at City Hall and the Main Street Garage.
The administrator said flyers with QR codes linking to ticketing and schedules will be distributed and that tickets can be purchased at city hall. The announcement was made during the Items From Visitors portion of the meeting.
