The equipment purchase follows the road crew’s ongoing maintenance work and was presented as necessary to keep routine grading and pothole repairs on schedule. The board did not specify a vendor or price during the recorded motion; funding will come from the highway account, which the treasurer later described as having a sizeable surplus pending any large expenses.
