Bryce Nielson submitted his resignation as Rich County Emergency Manager after 23 years of service and informed the commissioners he had filed the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) application and was coordinating a transition. The commission accepted Nielson’s resignation and appointed Joey Stocking as the county’s Emergency Manager effective October 1, 2025; the motion carried unanimously.
Commissioners thanked Nielson for his long service and noted that Stocking would continue work on the EMPG application and transition tasks. No further personnel actions or compensation changes were recorded in the minutes.
