Nikki Weston, Community & Economic Development (CEO) Board Chair, and Shawn Milne of the Bear River Association of Governments presented a slate of recommended appointments to the CEO board and the commission approved the appointments and terms as presented. The recommended board members include Tammi Leonhardt, Nikki Weston, Joel Marler, Kam Bell, Thad Willis, Curtis Moldenhauer, and Mark Alexander, with Shawn Milne and Mitch Poulsen as ex officio nonvoting members.
Milne also requested "authorization to apply for the Rural Communities Opportunity Grant (RCOG) for up to $125,000 with a required 10% grant match" to support regional planning for anticipated growth challenges. The commission approved the grant application unanimously and directed staff to proceed with the application and match planning.
