Commission questions process for Sweetwater RV Park Phase 8 plat amendment

Kaia Bowden, County Recorder, presented a proposed partial subdivision amendment for Phase 8 of the Sweetwater RV Park to relocate access that currently crosses part of Norm Mecham’s property. Bowden recommended a "partial subdivision amendment rather than creating separate parcels," and the county engineer offered an alternative approach. Commissioner Jonathan B. Lee said no public hearing had been held and said the matter should go through Planning and Zoning before the county signs off.
Commissioner William E. Cox moved to send the plat to Planning and Zoning for review; the motion failed for lack of a second, and the board agreed to consult further with the planning administrator and the county engineer to establish the proper process. No final decision on the plat was made at the meeting.
