Council discussion included a plan to hold a special meeting on Friday, July 11, to authorize staff to procure specific contractors so the project can be completed by late fall 2025. Manager Ron Redmond also noted that prior work with VTrans resulted in the state assuming approximately $70,000 in FHWA grant costs, which reduced the previously projected loan need for the project.
