Board approves 2025–26 handbooks, honor code, projects and accepts $3,000 scholarship donation

The Greencastle Community School Corporation Board voted on multiple New Business items on May 19, 2025. Administration recommended approval of the second reading of the 2025–2026 building handbooks; the motion was made by Dale Pierce, seconded by Megan Inman, and carried unanimously. The board also approved a High School Honor System to begin with the class of 2029; that motion was made by Kathryn Dory and seconded by Dale Pierce and carried unanimously.
The board approved selling surplus equipment, authorized payment of late-arriving May invoices due to the early board meeting schedule, and approved summer painting projects at Tzouanakis Intermediate and Greencastle Middle School. Administration presented a donation from the Edward and MaryAnn Meyer Scholarship Fund within the GiveWell Community Foundation in the amount of $3,000 to Greencastle High School; Mr. Gibboney recommended approval and the motion by Mr. Pierce, seconded by Mrs. Inman, carried unanimously.
