Taylor Hough said she has lived in Laconia her whole life and would bring a younger perspective and programming ideas aimed at 16–20 year olds, including non-drinking events. Councilor Bogert and Chair Conant praised both candidates' energy and ideas. Councilor Haynes acknowledged that both candidates were well-qualified but abstained from both votes, citing concern that two other applicants who submitted paperwork were not interviewed at this meeting. Both motions passed with two in favor and one abstention. Administrative follow-up was noted for processing the recommendations.
