The Weathersfield Planning Commission conducted a line-by-line review of the draft Town Plan and identified a set of targeted edits across multiple chapters. Commissioners asked for clearer definitions and phrasing on Planned Unit Developments (PUDs), trail and Class 4 road management, and the involvement of "the affected property owners" rather than the broader term "adjoining." Commissioners also flagged typos and requested consistent shorthand for feet measurements.
Mr. Gumbart explained why he wanted to retain a 2012 business inventory in Chapter 3 as a timestamped reference while noting the Plan’s goal to update the list in the future. Mr. Bosenberg recommended that sections referencing state law include the statute citation in italics; the Commission agreed. Commissioners asked staff to clarify acronyms throughout the document and to adjust PUD language to better address infrastructure costs and impacts.
The edits are procedural and editorial in nature but are intended to improve legal clarity and usability before the public hearing; staff will compile the agreed changes into one final draft.
