Resident seeks town help for cemetery repairs; memorial wreath volunteer sought

Elaine Howe told the Selectboard that she is organizing a visit by the Vermont Old Cemetery Association (VOCA) in August and asked the town to help provide materials for repairing headstones and a dump truck to remove brush. ‘‘She is looking for help from the town with material to fix the stones and a dump truck for brush,’’ the transcript records; Howe said she will know more as the event approaches.
Howe also raised a separate, near-term request: the Memorial Day wreath for the pocket park. Pat Ladd, who usually makes the wreath, cannot do it this year. Howe asked whether the town could arrange a replacement; Rodney Hoyt said he would speak with Leyna Hoyt to see if she could make the wreath for the parade. The board did not record a formal vote on either request and asked for details to be returned as plans firm up.
