The Commission organized a set of public events and outreach activities. Members agreed to visit the Drew Lot together on Thursday, May 29 at 5 p.m., discussed an Open House at Wicopy Woods on Sept. 27 with maps and kiosk signage, and confirmed a bird walk planned for May 10. Redstart Consulting has committed to an invasives seminar on school grounds tentatively set for the afternoon of Oct. 4; Eliza Minnucci will check with the school to confirm availability.
The Commission also discussed a moths presentation that remains under development. The events are part of a continuing effort to engage volunteers and the public in stewardship, with several calendar items and volunteer coordination tasks noted for follow-up.
