POCD draft near completion; Ms. Hodge to remain involved for sustainability input

Task Force members were told the Plan of Conservation & Development (POCD) is in its end stages of drafting and that Ms. Hodge will remain on the project to help complete the POCD while she begins a new job. Members said the draft will be posted to the town website for public review and comment; after the public review the Planning and Zoning Commission must approve the next draft before finalization.
The Steering Committee plans to meet with the WPCA and Town Council to discuss the sewer map. Members emphasized that completing the POCD locally is important because, as recorded in the minutes, without a completed POCD the state could step in and direct development decisions in town.
