Alcester council approves 2026 salaries and year-end financial recap

City staff also presented year-end financial highlights. The golf course exceeded its projected revenue at about 151.2% of forecast, while the city overall achieved roughly 86.46% of projected revenue. The community center recorded a significant operating loss (reported at approximately $225,780) driven primarily by higher staffing and food costs. Staff noted that sales-tax collections were largely flat year-over-year, down about 0.7% compared with other regional declines.
"I would like to make a motion to approve the 2026 salaries of 2% across the board and 4% to the assistant superintendent of public works," a council member stated as the motion to adopt the salary schedule.
Council approved both the salary motion and related year-end financial reports during the meeting; staff will incorporate the adjustments in the 2026 payroll and budget monitoring.
