Bonneville County opens sealed bids for transfer station expansion; Alpine posts low bid

The Chair opened the Bonneville County Public Works meeting on July 21, 2026 and announced that sealed bids for the county Transfer Station expansion, administration building and scale facilities were opened publicly.
The Chair read the published invitation to bid, noting it had been signed by Jonathan Locker, acting chairman, and listed the bids and timestamps. Alpine Construction Management submitted the lowest bid at $2,601,097. Other bids announced were Headwaters Construction $3,733,085; Coil Construction $3,452,689.81; Big D Construction $3,103,500; Lundahl Building Systems $3,762,627; Schrader and Brand $3,830,385.16; and Nathan Paul Construction $3,059,574. "We will be opening these sealed bids in the order in which they were received," the Chair said as bids were read.
County staff said the bids will be evaluated by engineering and that staff expects to present a recommendation at next week’s meeting. No award was made at the July 21 session; staff said they will notify the commission and the public when the recommended bidder is identified.
