The council adopted two ordinances that update local enforcement codes to reflect current state standards.
Staff said the annual update to the city’s traffic and code enforcement manual keeps the city current with state statutory changes and prevents the city from falling behind. Council adopted Ordinance 31-74, covering standard traffic ordinances, and Ordinance 31-88, updating the uniform public-offense code. Both ordinances were moved, seconded and adopted by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
Staff noted a minor numbering/posting error in agenda paperwork for one ordinance but said the substance of the ordinance was unchanged and that the error did not require re-posting.
