Commission leadership reported the select board voted at a recent March meeting to proceed with a municipal planning grant to hire the Northwest Regional Planning Commission (NRPC) for the town-plan revision. The chair said the grant application was signed and submitted and that the grant administrator would likely make a decision within weeks, with work expected to start in the coming months.
"That grant was signed that night, and it was submitted to the people that administer the grant. And we'll probably hear about it very soon because it was not, like, going to be months... We're almost guaranteed to get it," the commission member said. Commissioners discussed a chapter-by-chapter review approach for the revision and encouraged public participation at regular meetings to review one or two chapters per session.
