Council awards two local contracts to remodel booking area and add interview/DRI room

Councilor Nick Khan moved to authorize the chief to sign contracts: JP Custom Contracting for $14,990 plus 20% contingency (not to exceed $17,988) for one project, and Graham/Brahms Construction for $9,200 plus 20% contingency (not to exceed $11,040) for the other. The council approved the motion unanimously.
The contracts will be executed by the police department, and staff said the projects will be managed to avoid prolonging other department work.
