Council approves FY26–27 budget calendar, schedules meetings beginning in April

Director (staff) presented the proposed FY26–27 budget calendar at the Jan. 13 council meeting, including suggested meeting dates beginning in April with flexibility for staff and council adjustments. The proposal included options for scheduling budget work sessions, and staff noted the same Thursday schedule used most of last year.
Councilor Wishburn moved to approve the budget calendar; Councilor Seneca seconded the motion and the council approved it unanimously. The director will publish the calendar and coordinate with staff on meeting logistics as the city enters budget season.
