Board members discussed roof leaks at the Murph building and the town’s available repair funds. The building repair fund was reported as $64,309.90; members agreed that installing insulation would be premature until roof leaks are repaired and asked staff to get three quotes from local roofers.
A selectboard member said they would consider a steel roof and recommended a local roofer (Bob Peters) inspect the building to assess whether a repair or full replacement is necessary. “Even if we call for roofers to come out and look at the roof, somebody's gotta be…,” one member said, prompting agreement to schedule inspections.
Separately, members discussed personnel policy and job descriptions for road crew positions and selectboard wages; they asked staff to place job descriptions and compensation items on the next meeting agenda for further action.
