The Bakersfield Selectboard voted to sign bank authorization forms to open a bank account for the town’s after‑school program that will operate under the town’s EIN. The motion was made and seconded and approved without recorded opposition.
Tom (speaker S6) told the board the town’s TD Bank accounts now show a $0 balance because funds were consolidated into the community bank. “It went to 0. The money went into the community bank when it's listed right below them,” Tom said, and asked that the record reflect that the funds had been moved. A board member then moved that the selectboard sign the form authorizing the after‑school account; the motion carried.
Board members discussed who would be the certifying officer and signatories; the paperwork requires two signatures and a notarized second page. The board agreed to sign the documents and file the signed copy the following day. No dollar transfers into the new after‑school account were reported at the meeting.
