Commission approves minor PUD amendment to allow 840-sf accessory building

The Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission approved a minor amendment to PUD-851 on Oct. 2, permitting an 840-square-foot accessory building to be located in the side yard of the subject lot. County staff recommended approval, concluding the request did not represent a significant departure from existing PUD standards and qualifying it as a minor amendment.
Commissioner Craddock had removed the item from the consent agenda to request clearer aerials and a better presentation; staff said the mapping department aerials are updated only annually. The applicant stated they were unable to move the building back because of the septic tank behind the proposed location, and that the property's covenant allows an accessory building up to 1,000 square feet. The commission voted to approve the amendment 10-0-0, motion by Turner-Addison, second by Shivel.
