Chair (Speaker 2) asked staff to reconcile the invoices with previous approvals and to report back; staff suggested that some of the costs could be applied to grant funding where eligible, and discussed doing reclamation work in-house to lower costs. "He charged us $4 a yard for screening it...9,280," Highway worker (Speaker 5) said, and staff also reported the larger $83,000 figure for the contractor’s piling and stripping work.
