The School Board amended its agenda on June 1 to move item 4 (executive sessions) to follow the consent agenda, saying the change would let members discuss matters raised at the previous meeting.
The Chair said, “we aren't adding anything. We're just gonna move the order, after [the] consent agenda,” and asked for a motion to approve the revised agenda. Wanda Brownlee Page moved to approve the special agenda; the motion was seconded and approved on a roll-call vote with all recorded members voting yes.
The change put several executive sessions — for attorney–client consultation, a preliminary discussion of real property acquisition and a personnel matter — earlier in the meeting schedule. The Chair said the timing was intended to allow the board to address those items that had been discussed at the prior meeting. The board then proceeded with the consent agenda and the scheduled recesses to executive session.
